This seminar will focus on the methods and findings of this collaborative project involving researchers from the CRCF and the ESRC Business and Local Government Data Research Centre. Eight years of administrative data about looked after children in one local authority were analysed to explore how long children stay in care and where they go when they leave. Factors influencing children’s pathways to reunification with their parents were analysed in more depth exploring which children go home, and the factors associated with successful returns home.
Practitioners and managers are particularly welcome at this seminar.
