Time: 13:00-14:00
This seminar will report on the findings of an in-depth online survey of 319 adoptive parents which explored children’s backgrounds before adoption and their current progress and support needs in their adoptive families. Quantitative and qualitative data were collected. The research team from CRCF collaborated with Dr Marcello Morciano from the ESRC Business and Local Government Data Research Centre to analyse factors affecting children’s outcomes after adoption using a latent factor structural equation model, and this method of statistical analysis will be introduced. The seminar will discuss the implications from the study for supporting adoptive families.
Practitioners and managers are particularly welcome at this seminar.
