Julien Forder is Professor of the Economics of Social Policy and Deputy Director of PSSRU at the University of Kent and a Principal Research Fellow at the London School of Economics. Julien is an economist and conducts research in social care and health care. He takes an active interest in social care policy. In the past Julien has undertaken secondments to the King’s Fund as project lead for the Wanless social care review and to the Strategy Unit in the Department of Health, providing advice to Ministers on social care and related areas of health policy. Julien’s main academic interests are social care funding, care markets and competition, health and social care integration, personalisation and measuring the impact of services for people with long-term conditions.
